WinChill® is a hardware/firmware/software suite where the hardware is housed internally within the equipment to be controlled, and attaches to system components such as temperature controllers, pump control relays, compressor relays, trip switches, and trend plotting.

The hardware can also be attached to a computer via cabling to give remote control and communication results to operators in distant areas. Further, WinChill® embedded systems can be connected together to form a much more complex network, allowing for monitoring and control of entire buildings. The software, which serves as the control interface, is Windows®-based and gives both Single Station and Supervisory modes.
